GIFT OF LAND
FOR AUCKLAND CITY. beautiful bush. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, October 28. A gift of 48 acres of land at Waitakers has been made to the city of Auckland by Mr John Alexander, C.M.G. The land is bushclad and is part of an area which was much admired by Sir Arthur Mill, director of the Kew gardens. He recommended that as much as possible of it should be preserved for all time.
