BULLER SEAT
LABOUR CANDIDATE. MINERS NOT SATISFIED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 28. Miners on the West Coast are apparently not satisfied with the selection by the Labour Party of a candidate to contest the Buller seat, judging by a statement made by Mr A. McLagan, the national secretary of the United Miners’ Council, who said that the United Miners Council is calling special meetings of the miners’ branches in the Buller constituency to consider a recommendation regarding the candidates in the by-election. The special meetings are to be held next week.
