AN UNUSUAL CASE
CONVERSION OF HORSES. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 26. A novel case of converting two horses to his own use was heard by the Magistrate (Mr E. D. Mosley) this morning, when George Alfred Oakley, of Bryndwyr, was the defendant and was fined 20/- and costs. The police said that in September last two horses strayed from complainant’s property in the country. On October 6 the horses were seen on defendant’s property. Defendant had admitted to the police that he had not advertised the fact that the horses had strayed on to his place.
