REGULAR WORK
HARBOUR BOARD EMPLOYEES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 25. In view of the work being put in hand, the Wellington Harbour Board to-night decided to abolish the standdown week which applied to all regular weekly employees. The reinstatement of men who have been losing one week in five will take effect from November 1. Work being put in hand by the board consists of repairs to the boat harbour, extension of the Point Howard oil jetty and construction of the Steeple Rock beacon.
