REDUCTION MADE
FREIGHT ON HIDES. SHIPOWNERS’ ACTION. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 9. Following representations made by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. R. Masters) the Overseas Shipowners’ Committee decided to make a reduction for at least six months in freights for hides and skins to Canada. The new rate will be the same as that to Britain.
