NAMES IN A HAT
ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, May 9. At the election of the chairman of the Auckland Transport Board held to-day, the retiring chairman, Mr J. A. C. Allum, and a member, Mr Greys Campbell, were both nominated and each received five votes. As the secretary, who presided, has no casting vote, it was decided to put the names in a box. Mr Allum’s name was drawn, and he took his place as chairman again.
