FOUND UNCONSCIOUS
DEATH OF STOREMAN. POLICE SEARCHING FOR CAR. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, May 8. David Ellis, aged 17 years, a storeman, ' was found unconscious and gravely injured, lying on the main road through Takapuna at Yix o’clock last evening. He died almost immediately in a nearby house, his death apparently being due to head injuries. Detectives and the police have since been searching for the car which, it is believed, struck him, and which was reported to have carried no headlights.
