BRIDGE TRAGEDY
200 WORKMEN DROWNED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Calcutta, Maj' 6. Two hundred workmen engaged in the construction of a bridge on the river Hojgondal, in one of the Kathiawar States (Western India) are feared to be drowned, all being swept off the bridge by sudden floods. People on the river banks were powerless to help as the mass of humanity disappeared in the swollen waters.
