HUDDERSFIELD’S VICTORY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) London, May 6. In the Rugby League cup final at Wembley Huddersfield beat Warrington by 21 points to 17. Fifty thousand were present, including the Prince of Wales, who was 1 deputizing for the King. Thirty-six special trains brought the northern invasion to see the match. Huddersfield’s victory was chiefly due to Bowkett’s six magnificent goals from all angles. Warrington were faster generally and superior in an overwhelming majority of the scrums, but the stand-off half, Oster, was ineffective and the team’s goal-kicking was poor, three penalties being missed in the first ten minutes.
