MINISTERIAL. The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Minister for Employment, left Wellington on Saturday for Auckland. Mr J. Hensley travelled north by the express last evening. Mr G. Fredric travelled north by the express last evening. Mr Alfred Driscoll returned to Invercargill by Saturday evening’s express after an extended holiday visit to Central Otago, South Canterbury and Rangiora. Of seventy-seven applicants from all parts of the Dominion, Miss Stobo, of Invercargill, has been appointed matron of the Waitaki Boys’ High School (says an Oamaru Press Association telegram). The Hon. R. Kennedy, accompanied by his associate, Mr Sinclair-Lock-hart, arrived in Invercargill by Saturday evening's express and will preside at 'the Supreme Court sitting which commences this morning. The death occurred at Christchurch on Saturday (states a Press Association message) of Mr Philip Hamilton Harper, who was stipendiary magistrate at Gisborne from 1929 until some months ago when he suffered injuries in a fall over a cliff while fishing. He came to Christchurch for advice and died after an operation.
