COAL DISPUTE
A NEW DEVELOPMENT. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, April 23. A development in the Waikato coal dispute at the week-end was an offer by the Renown Collieries Ltd. to withdraw its notice to the men, proposing a postponement of 20 per cent, of their wages, provided a meeting is called of the five companies concerned, and the Taupiri and Glen Afton companies revert to the selling prices previously in force.
Mr Holgate, president of the Dominion Coalmine Owners’ Association, said that nothing had been arranged yet.
