WINTON SCHOOL
ELECTION OF COMMITTEE. BALLOT NECESSARY. (From Our Correspondent.) More than usual interest has been manifested in the forthcoming election of the committee of the Winton District High School which takes place on Monday evening next and for the nine vacancies on the committee eleven nominations have been received. On a number of occasions in the past difficulty has been experienced in obtaining the necessary number of nominations, but this year the election will provide a good deal of interest among householders. Two members of the present committee, Messrs J. Stewart and A. H. Rose, did not seek re-elec-tion. The nominations are as follows: J. H. Thomson, L. Smart, D. Wiley, W. Henderson, G. Lindsay, L. Irwin, W. Hewitt, W. Watson, Charles Grimwood J. Fathers and the Rev. A. Gardiner.
