CHIROPRACTORS’ ASSN.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE. The thirteenth annual conference of the New Zealand and Australian Chiropractors’ Association was held in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute Building, Wellington, when delegates were present from Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, Hastings, Masterton, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Oamaru and Dunedin. Mr J. A. Scott (president) occupied the chair. The report indicated that in spite of difficult times the membership roll showed a higher total than in any previous year, and on the financial side there was a credit balance for the year of £BO 9/6. Papers were read, or short addresses delivered, on the following topics: “Chiropractic Advertising—Ethical and Unethical” (Miss Helen Mackenzie, Sydney); “Case Experiences with the Neurocalometer” (Mr H. N. O. Ashton, Perth, W.A.); (1) “Why an upper cervical?” (2) “The importance of the lateral cervical in spinograph” (Mr H. A. Jenkins, New Plymouth); “Chiropractic is an exacting science” (Mr J. R. Hart, Napier); “The significance of vertibral curvatures” (Mr E. V. Davys, Lower Hutt); “Mechanical correction of the spine—with remarks also on general adjusting” (Mr C. L. Turner Gisborne); “Some difficulties of spinograph interpretation—detecting the pathology” (introduced by the president). Every member present took part in the discussions to which these contributions gave rise. As the outcome of Miss McKenzie’s paper, it was resolved that the president be' requested to prepare a memorandum embodying a statement of guiding principles in regard to professional advertising. Officers were elected as follows: President and secretary, Mr J. A. Scott; vice-president, Mr J. P. Colwill; treasurer, Mr J. M. Craig; committee, Messrs T. Giles, J. R. Hart, H. A. Jenkins, R. V. Lorenzen, and D. Sim.

It was decided that the next conference should be held in Christchurch.
