CHRISTMAS CHEER
STREET COLLECTION IN CHRISTCHURCH. A FINE RESPONSE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 23. The Rotary Club made their annual street appeal to-day to provide Christmas cheer for poor families. The total amount collected in the streets was £1126 1/11 and the total sum in hand, including donations, is £1443 1/11, with more still to come. Last year the street collection realized £lOOB 15/6 and the total with donations £l4OO.
