“I have no definite information but I believe that a ship to replace the Southern Cross will be built in England, for the authorities will adhere to their'decision that such a work must be carried out at Home,” said the Rt. Rev. H. W. Baddeley, Bishop of Melanesia, at a gathering at Church House, Christchurch. “I leave here for Melanesia on January 6, and I hope to pick up the natives of the crew and the two teachers while in Sydney,” he added.
