GOLD STRIKE

EXPERT’S REPORT. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, December 21. The recently reported discovery of a rich gold prospect in an old creek bed on the West Coast has been investigated by Mr R. T. Stewart, mining engineer of Dunedin, who reports that although 17oz were secured in a very small area, there are no further prospects of that value being obtained. The locality is mid-way between Reefton and Murchison.
