MAN DIES OF INJURIES. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Calcutta, December 19. John Gilbert Bourne, Deputy Commissioner of Betul District, Central Provinces, died as a result of injuries received from a tiger while gallantly attempting to rescue an Indian beater who was being mauled. Mr Bourne shot and fatally wounded one tiger, whose mate attacked the beater and then turned on Mr Bourne.
