SEVERE TREMOR
WESTERN AMERICA ONLY SLIGHT DAMAGE REPORTED NO ONE INJURED (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 9.25 p.m.) San Francisco, December 21. A severe earthquake shook the west from Rawlins (Wyoming) to Longbeach (California) on Tuesday night, but the damage was confined to broken windows and crockery, The shake stopped clocks in most places. No injuries are reported. The shock rocked the entire State of Nevada, and at Gerlach (Nevada) a large water tower was knocked down. Reno was also sharply shaken. The walls of the Californian State Capitol at Sacramento creaked and rattled.
