CHARGE OF THEFT
LARGE SUM INVOLVED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 20. Theft charges in which the total sum will be something like £l5OO may be preferred against Charles Edgar McPeak, a salesman, aged 43, according to a statement by the Chief Detective in the Magistrate’s Court this morning when McPeak appeared before Mr Mosley, S.M., charged with stealing on or about January 22, 1932, £lOO the property of Mary Rothney Orr, of Christchurch. He was . remanded to January 3.
