PRICE OF BUTTER
REDUCTION IN CHRISTCHURCH. TWOPENCE A POUND. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 3. A general reduction of 2d a pound on butter came into operation this morning, and customers will benefit to that extent. The reduction has been brought about mainly through the reduction of the export parity to lOd and the reduction of merchants advances against consignments to BJd. The wholesale price of standard brands is now IOJd, and second wrapper butter and grocers’ private wrapper butter lOd.
