EASTERN DISTRICT FIXTURES. ADDITIONAL RESULTS. Following are additional- results _of the Eastern District cricket competition fixtures played on Wednesday:— EDIEVALE BEATS GORE B. The Edievale-Gore B match at Edievale provided the closest contest of the season to date. Gore B batted first, and, mainly due to an excellent knock by Percy Barron for 6G, compiled the useful total of 116. The most successful Edievale player was Hutchinson whose figures were 16.2 overs, 11 maidens, 7 runs, 7 wickets. Edievale just managed to pull the match out of the fire after a great finish. J. Caffell was mainly responsible for the runs with a useful 40, while B. Rush showed some of his old form in compiling 16. Edievale passed its opponent’s total with one wicket in hand. Scores.— GORE B.
