EASTERN DISTRICT COMPETITIONS. YESTERDAY’S PLAY. The Eastern District A and B grade tennis fixtures were continued yesterday afternoon. During the earlier part of the afternoon the weather was fine but windy, but later rain fell and some of the matches were not completed. A GRADE. GORE v. CITIZENS. In the match between Gore and Citizens, played on the latter club’s courts, Gore led by seven sets to four when play had to be abandoned owing to the rain.
