OPERA SUBSIDY
SUSPENSION IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, October 31. It was announced in the House of Commons that the Government had decided to suspend the opera subsidy for next year. The British Broadcasting Corporation has undertaken to give British Opera all the assistance practicable.
