RIOTERS WOUNDED

DISTURBANCE IN SWITZERLAND.

(United Press Assn.— Telegraph Copyright.) Geneva, October 9.

The disbandment of the local regiment at Fribourg after its manoeuvres led to serious rioting due to the arrest of two soldiers for singing the “Internationale." Women preponderated in the mob, besieging the police station, every window of which was broken. Firemen tried to soak the crowd, but the hoses were cut. The colonel then tried to control the crowd, but he was knocked off his horse. The police fired in self-defence, wounding several of the rioters. The release of the prisoners at two in the morning ended a hectic night.
