WATERSIDE WORKERS
NEGOTIATIONS WITH EMPLOYERS. PROPOSALS DRAWN UP. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 7. Seen to-day, Mr T. O. Bishop, secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, stated with regard to the negotiations which had been carried on privately in Wellington for some days between the watersiders’ representatives and the employers that “we discussed the question of making a Press statement at the end of the negotiations to-day and I was instructed to say that the negotiations have been finalized and that the proposals are now being printed for submission to the unions for approval and the union’s reply will be given at the earliest possible date.”
