OLYMPIC ROWERS
CRITICISM OF COACH. “TEAM OVERWORKED AND STALE.” (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, September 26. The training methods adopted by Mr C. Healy, coach of the New Zealand Rowing team at the Olympic Games, were criticized by the stroke of the eight, G. C. Cooke, in an interview today. Cooke supports the contention of F. H. Thompson, of the Avon Rowing Club, who was also a member of the New Zealand eight that the team was overworked and definitely stale at the time of the race.
