DISARMAMENT
ATTITUDE OF GERMANY. DISCUSSIONS ADJOURNED. (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, September 22. At a meeting of the Disarmament Bureau at Geneva, Sir John Simon said comprehensive proposals on naval disarmament were being carefully examined by the British Government, which was consulting the other great Powers, and he hoped it might be possible in the near future to initiate an exchange of views. It is announced that Germany has decided not to offer a written reply to Mr Arthur Henderson’s appeal. Baron von Neurath, as the head of a large delegation, has arrived at Geneva for the League Assembly and will personally explain the reasons for Germany’s action concerning disarmament. The discussions, therefore, were adjourned till Monday.
