DAMAGES AWARDED
SEQUEL TO ACCIDENT. JUDGMENT NOT ENTERED.. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, July 29. The jury awarded £347 4/7 special damages and £325 general damages in a claim arising out of a collision at the Newtown intersection wherein Mrs Irene Addis Smith was knocked down and injured by a car driven by Mrs Caroline Priscilla Purdie. Mr Justice MacGregor refrained from judgment for Mrs Smith in the meantime, pending argument on a non-suit point.
