PREJUDICIAL COMMENT
MOUNT COOK MURDER CASE. VISITING MAGISTRATE INVOLVED. (Per United Press Association.) Timaru, July 29. With reference to the remarks of the Chief Justice (the Hon. Sir Michael Myers), who commented adversely upon the prejudicial comment of the Magistrate who conducted the preliminary proceedings in the Mount Cook murder case, it ought to be . explained that the reference of the Chief Justice involved a visiting Magistrate, and not Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, the resident Magistrate at Timaru.
