ALL BLACKS SAIL

ROUSING SEND-OFF THE BLEDISLOE CUP PRESENTED TRIBUTE TO TEAM (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 9.50 p.m.) Sydney, July 29. Taking the Bledisloe Cup the All Blacks sailed by the Zealandia this afternoon. They had a rousing sendoff bv Rugby Union officials and friends. The team was farewelled earlier at the Hotel Wentworth when the cup was presented to the manager, Mr W. J. Wallace, on behalf of the New South Wales Rugby Union by the president, Mr H. D. Wood, who remarked that the team was one of the youngest and cleverest ever sent to Australia and equally popular on and off the field., Mr Wallace, acknowledging the sentiment of the presentation, said he was extremely sorry to leave Australia, the hospitality was so wonderful. The other speakers at the farewell were Sir James Parr, Mr W. Hill and Mr Schmidt, the New Zealand Trade Commissioner in Australia.

The All Blacks had a jolly time last night at the Sydney University Sports Unions’ ball, where they were the guests of honour. A dozen pretty girls gave them a surprise when they appeared dressed in black football “togs,” even to the shorts. Their jerseys were buttoned on the side at the shoulders with large silver buttons. Tiny black caps v'ere perched on the side of their heads. They danced their own creation, the All Blacks’ ballet.
