At this stage Gorguloff sprang up and denounced Lazaroff as a liar. Three doctors declared that they did not believe Gorguloff was insane. He denied that they had examined him except in the manner of gendarmes., A fourth doctor expressed the opinion that Gorguloff was mentally unstable.
