BRITISH WAR LOAN
FINAL RUSH FOR CONVERSION. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.10 a.m.) London, July 27. The final rush to secure the bonus on the war loan has commenced, the biggest conversion of the day being £734,000 by the Scottish Australia Investment Company. It is believed that large numbers are postponing their applications till the last moment. The stimulating effect of conversion on all securities is shown in the Bankers’ Magazine, which states that 365 leading stocks appreciated to the extent of £273,000,000 during the month ending July 20.
