HEDDON BUSH NOTES
EUCHRE AND DANCE. (From Our Correspondent.) A record crowd attended the fortnightly euchre party held last Friday evening, the hall being taxed to its fullest capacity. Mrs W. Moylan won the women’s section, and in the play off in the men’s section Mr D. Manson won from Mr W. Hamilton. Mrs Molloy and Mr W. Clark were given consolation prizes. Supper was supplied by the ladies and a dance followed, with music by Messrs J. Johnson and L. Cochrane. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs P. Boyle, Mr and Mrs Catto, Mr and Mrs Forde, Mr and Mrs Fleming, Mr and Mrs T. Homer, Mr and Mrs Hubber, Mr and Mrs Manson, Mr and Mrs Moylan, Mr and Mrs Malloy, Mr and Mrs Hamilton, Mr and Mrs Andrews, Mesdames Malcolm (2), M. Horner, Misses Cody, Homer, Spratt, Messrs W. Andrews, Boyle (4), Cairns, Cody (2), Clark, Cochrane (2), Halford, Gardner, Johnston, Laughton, Hardy, Mathieson, Malcolm (3), Forde, Shaw and Wilson.
Prior to the euchre' Mr T. Horner presided over a full attendance of school committee members. Final arrangements were made for the obtaining of unemployed to carry on the work in the school grounds.
