HOTEL DESTROYED
FIRE AT PIRONGIA. (Per United Press Association.) Te Awamutu, June 14. The Pirongia Hotel, nine miles from Te Awamutu, was completely destroyed by fire late last night. It was a very old building of about 20 rooms and was erected soon after the Maori War. The outbreak is believed to have occurred in the kitchen. The licensee, Allan Hood, and the other occupants made a hurried escape. Nothing was saved. The building was owned by L. D, Nathan and Co., of Au.’dand. The insurances are not available.
