SECRET FUEL
OIL AND PULVERIZED COAL. AN IMPORTANT EXPERIMENT. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) London, Juhe 12. A well kept secret was revealed after the departure of the Cunard liner Scythia from Liverpool for America. Some of her boilers are being heated with a specially prepared mixture of 60 per cent, oil and 40 per cent, pulverized bituminous coal made by a secret process. It is hoped that if the experiment is successful it will result in big savings in the line’s huge oil bill, and also have important efUcts on the British coalfields, as it is expected that the Navy and the whole mei cantile fleet will adopt it in order to reduce fuel costs.
