Miss Campbell, Timaru, who was the guest of Mr and Mrs D. Campbell for a few days, left for Tuatapere on Thursday, where she will be the guest of Mr and Mrs Donald Campbell and Mrs R. S. Chilton, “Alton Brae.” Mrs Beaven, Oporo, and Miss Howells spent a few days with Mr and Mrs H. I. Gould, Main street, last week. Mrs Parmenter, Invercargill, was the guest of Mr and Mrs L. J. Parmenter for a few days during the week. Mrs King, Whangarei, who has been spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs A. Seatter, Chester street, left for Invercargill yesterday. The many friends of Mrs Brass will be pleased to learn that she is progressing favourably after her operation, and is now out of hospital. She purposes spending a few days in Invercargill before returning home. The following were amongst those from this district who attended the 25th anniversary of the P.W.M.U. at Riverton last week: The Rev. and Mrs Howes, Mesdames Liddell, Maxwell, Duncan, McCulloch, Jas. Thomson, H. Bone, A. Chilton, Misses McKenzie and Gould.
