BULK-PETROL STORES. CONTRACTS FOR N.Z. FIRMS. Contracts for the erection of bulk petrol storage installations- in the four main centres of New Zealand for the Associated Motorists’ Petrol Co., Ltd., have been let to New Zealand firms. Heffernan and Co., Ltd., have been given the contract for Auckland; .the Fletcher Construction Co., Ltd., for Wellington; Anderson’s, Ltd., for Christchurch; and the Dunedin Engineering Co., Ltd., for Dunedin. A representative of the company informed The Dominion that the New Zealand firms were able to quote better prices and do a quicker job than foreign companies. The total capacity of the installations will exceed 3,000,000 gallons, and the successful firms are now commencing work in their respective towns. The Associated Motorists’ Petrol Co., Ltd., is an organization formed by Nevi Zealand motorists to import and disibute their petrol requirements ■ hroughout New Zealand. Supplies will commence immediately the bulk installations are completed.
