I.C. AND A. ACT
DISCUSSED IN LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) • Wellington, March 23. The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill which was pawed in the House of Representatives early on Saturday morning was received by the Legislative Council this afternoon and read a first time. The measure will not be considered further until after the Easter vacation, according to a statement marie by Sir James Parr, Leader of the Council. The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre suggested that the Bill should be referred to a Statutes Revision Committee which was set up this afternoon. Sir James in reply said that the House of Representatives had proceeded to consideration of the Bill without referring it to the committee, but so far as the Council was concerned, he would be favourably inclined to consider the proposal when the second reading had been taken.
