(From Our Correspondent.) On Saturday the Northern District tennis competition was advanced another stage when Lumsden defeated Balfour on the local courts. The opening took the form of mixed foursomes, the winners being J. Ogilvy and Miss Reidy with a net score of 72. J. Gilkison and Mrs Heath were second with 74. Mr Gilkison, captain, declared the links open and wished the members a successful season.
