THE GORE CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Gore Golf Club was held on Monday evening the president, Mr R. Fisher, presiding over a good attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet (already published) the president stated that the club had concluded the year in a good position financially, despite the fact that there had been no increase in subscriptions. If possible an effort should be made during the coming year to pay off some of the club’s liabilities and so reduce the amount of interest payable each year. The satisfactory position of the club was in a large measure duo to the successful season experienced by the Summer Club and the committee, with' Mr A. J. Kerse as president and Mr E. J. Crosbie as secretary, was deserving of the club’s thanks. The motion was seconded and carried. The question of amalgamating the subscriptions for winter and summer golf was discussed and the following resolution was carried‘That the winter and summer subscriptions of £2 12/6 and 10/6 be combined to form an annual subscription of £3 3/-, less a rebate "of 10/6 if paid before July 31, ladies’ subscriptions to be £1 16/6, less a rebate of 5/- if paid before July 31.” The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr R. Fisher; vice-presi-dent, Mr A. Hawke; captain, Mr J. A. S. Aitken; secretary, Mr J. M. Boyne; treasurer, Mr T, L. Piller; auditor, Mr R. 8. Green; committee, Messrs H. R. Domigan, D. F. Tait, R, Ritchie, E. J. Crosbie, and G. Sadd. Resignation of membership was received from Mr J. G. Conolly. The question of opening day was left to the committee. The following new members were elected: Mr J. A. Yule, Mr and Mrs E. Kirby, Messrs R. Rutherford, B. Foley, Andrew Paterson, D. J. Paterson, J. McCaughan and J. Kidd.
