TOURNAMENT AT WINTON. COMBINED DISTRICT CLUBS. Brilliant weather conditions favoured the annual tourney of the Combined Districts Tennis Association at Winton on Saturday afternoon. With excellent entries in all divisions the various games, which were keenly contested, were most interesting and it can quite well be said that the form displayed by the various players of this young association was an improvement on that of last year. A commencement- was made in the morning and the final match was played in good light about 7 p.m. D. Bruce was the most successful player of the day, for he not only won the men’s singles, but with his partner, S. M. AlloW, took The men’s doubles. Miss George won the. ladies’ singles, while Mias South and Mrs Allott accounted for the ladies doubles. The combined doubles went to Miss Fairbanks and Mr S. Norman.
