Sir,- —The plague . “Cacoethes Scribendi ’ has developed in a very violent form in your correspondence columns, and Old Jean and I are, for the time being, overwhelmed by its ruthless disregard of the ethics of “Fair Play,” although Mr Editor, I must admit that the more fierce the storm the better we like it. I think you will also agree with me that the merits of the “Old Salts” are their seamanship in storm.
