REDUCTION OPPOSED
SALARIES AND WAGES. PUBLIC SERVANTS’ RESOLUTION. (Per United Press Association.) Hawera, March 19. A meeting of approximately 50 members of the Public Service Association last evening carried the following resolution: “That in view of the fact that there has been no appreciable fall in the cost of living since the last cut we are of the opinion that any further reductions in salaries and wages would aggravate the economic position, embarrass the business community and eventually result in an economic collapse.”
