MURDERS IN SWEDEN
STUDENTS FORMIDABLE LIST. SUICIDE FOLLOWS PARTY. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyrlgnt.) Stockholm, March 8. Amazing disclosures are made regarding a student, von Sydow. In addition to slaying his father and two servants as established last week, he murdered an old farmer, his wife, and his sister-in-law at Yarmdo. He had borrowed money from the farmer and was therefore suspected of murdering them in July and also another old man from whom he had borrowed. Von Sydow was intellectual, but led a wild life and committed suicide dramatically at the end of a champagne and oyster party. He was presenting roses to his wife and guests when 'a detective arrived. A daughter returning home was horrified to find her murdered father, Hjalmar von Sydow, who was a noted industrialist and head of the Employers’ /Vssociation, and two maid servants, all of whom had seemingly been battered to' death with a piece of iron piping.
