PROFESSOR COPLAND
SERIOUSLY ILL IN HOSPITAL.
(Per United Press Association.) Wellington, March 8. Professor Copland is at present seriously ill in Bowen street private hospital at Wellington. Professor Copland has been in New Zealand some little time and last month was appointed a member of the special committee to examine the economic and budgetary position of the Dominion and report to the Government thereon. He was due to return to Australia by the Makura this afternoon, blit was taken ill suddenly on Monday night. Although Professor Copland’s condition was still serious late this evening, it was reported that he was a little better than when first admitted.
