A bullet, discharged accidentally from a gun while volunteers were having their first practice at New Brighton beach yesterday afternoon, went through the leg of one Territorial named J. T. Glasson, aged 18, and lodged in the leg of another, named E. Huhne, aged 20. Both were admitted to the hospital, Huhne being operated on during the night. The condition of both is satisfactory. FALL OVER A CLIFF. Christchurch, January 17. Lionel Barnes, a musterer employed at Mount White Station near Cass, fell over a cliff yesterday morning injuring his head and legs. He was found by another niusterer, and after receiving medical attention was brought to Christchurch Hospital. His condition is grave.
