DUNEDIN WOOL SALE PRICES APPRECIATE UP TO TWOPENCE SPIRITED BIDDING (Per 'Uhited Press Association.) Dunedin, December 17. The first Dunedin wool sale of the season was’ held to-day when 13,156 bales were offered. The wool opened up well and there were some especially nice clips from South Otago and Central Otago with only a small proportion of held over wool. Spirited bidding came from a very representative bench of buyers, notably from the Continent wrili keen demand also com ing from Bradford and local mills. Fine wools were much sought after and crossbreds also commanded attention. Prices showed a very gratifying appreciation as compared with the sale in December of last year. Halfbreds showed an increase of lid to 2d and Merino improved by Id to 2d. Fine crossbreds were lid to 2d dearer and were more in demand than at Christchurch last week. Top price for the sale was 12 .[d for a line of Central Otago Merino and halfbred made as high as 12d compared with 94d last season The following is the official range of prices:— d. d.
