STOCKS OF GRAIN
RETURN TO END OF NOVEMBER. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 17. A census of stocks of flour, wheat and oats in the Dominion was taken at November 30, 1931, when the following quantities were returned according to a Gazette notice to-night: Flour, 11,037 tons; wheat, 1,855,787 bushels (including 1,430,879 bushels milling wheat) and 776,650 bushels of oats.
The returns cover all stocks owned or stored by millers, merchants and farmers throughout the Dominion, with a few unimportant exceptions which would not appreciably affect the totals given.
