BRITISH WHEAT DUTIES
DETAILS NOT YET SETTLED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Ottawa, December 16. It has been made clear by the Prime Minister, Mr R. B. Bennett, that details of the British wheat quota are not in any sense settled, nor have they even been discussed, but at the Imperial Conference last year it was suggested that Britain’s quota should be 15 per cent. If 15 per cent, were appropriated for foreign-grown wheat 70 per cent, would remain for the Dominions. Mr Bennett also makes it plain that the percentages are purely estimates.
