About 5,000,000 insured persons—nearly one-half of Britain’s insured emnloyed population—have never at any time drawn unemployment pay. Better ideas of cleanliness and simpler home furnishings are mainly responsible for the practical disappearance in England of fleas, which were fairly common some twenty years ago.
